baby luci.

there is nothing more precious than a sleeping newborn & this sweet girl was a dream for the camera.
we turned my master bedroom into a little studio and worked with what we had.
i can't decide whether i like black and white or color better for some of these shots, so i posted a good mix.
prepare to be baby hungry.

baby yawns are also the best.

Ward Family.

Loved everything about this shoot.
Love this family. Love all the green trees & the sunshine after the rain.
Love that I got to shoot in a new place I've never been.
These were taken on a trip out to Miami Florida back in November.
Can we say photogenic?!?

are you dying over the head tilt?!?

yes, even baby doll made it in the shot. ;)

Ferguson Family

hello friends.
i am back and i have so much catching up to do from all the holiday sessions i never posted.
check out this gorgeous family. it was a windy cold day so we shot in between the gusts of wind and made it work.
it's always an adventure working with mother nature. :)

Cuneo Family.

I am really trying to blog these great sessions I am having.
I had 8 photo shoots just last week so I have a lot of work piling up.

This was my third holiday session with this cute family and I hope there are many more to come.

same time next year? :)

Harrell Family.

why have i waited so long to post this fun session from september?
i love when families want to get silly in front of the camera and this family takes the cake on fun!
the concept and outfits were all planned by this mom of four surfer boys.
and just you wait to see the christmas card execution she'll create. how does she do it? :)
it rained driving to and from the shoot, but for that little window we were blessed with perfect light.

there were way too many good ones, so here are some of my favorites of this san clemente family.
(and i must give a shout out to my green longboard...it was the perfect addition)

they got to surf after the photo shoot.

a much needed vacation.

hi friends.
I am back from a wonderful vacation with my family in Florida.
I guess I never told you that I left so I apologize for the delayed email responses.
Life never slows down over here. We just bought our first home 2 weeks ago and I'm still in survival mode.
I better get back to editing your photos now....

{here is my 2.5 year old on a beautiful beach day in key west.}
he loooooves drip sand castles.

a proposal.

I had so much fun working with a company called The Yes Girls that sets up wedding proposals.
I was hired to capture the moment and it was so magical from start to finish.
It was my first time really getting nervous for a shoot because I didn't want to miss a single moment and had to be ready with harsh lighting and not knowing which way she would be facing to get her reaction.
It looks like we were close to the scene, but thanks to my 70-200mm lens, I was sneakily snapping from quite a distance.
I took a lot of photos, but I'll blog the ones that tell the story of this cute couple and their unforgettable evening.

the set up at strands:
 the surprise.
 the tears:
 the words from the heart:
 the proposal:
 the reaction: (SHE SAID YES!)
 the kiss:
 the ring double-take:
 the photographer spotted:
 the ROCK!!!:
I snapped a couple more of these two love birds soaking in their moment.

the sunset was absolute perfection.
congrats you two!

Gardner Family.
